In a feat that defies the odds, the author pens a collection of thirty unique (yes 30!) novella-length stories for our joyful entertainment. Is there such an oxymoron as a "long short story? Most fit into my description, each comprising about 9 to 10 brief chapters, an ideal length for a couple hours of happy reading. The story-lines vary widely from mis-matches, mistaken identies, criminal intentions, adorable orphans, surprise children, wealth, poverty, well-meaning subterfuge, and every possible situation in between. All are lightly Christian-based with divine providence much in evidence as the heroes and heroines struggle with their weighty issues. My only minor criticism throughout was the lack of careful proofreading and editing in the Kindle collection which was peppered with grammatical and spelling glitches. A careful editorial clean-up of the collection, for me, would give this otherwise fine offering a more professional appearance. If you cannot get enough of the peculiar world of mail-order brides you can overdose on this delightful compendium.Product details

While the stories are good, they need editing. The author's word choice is somewhat dubious as numerous times she uses a similar sounding word that has the wrong meaning. If you can get past the errors, the stories are interesting.
I enjoyed this historical bride mega set. The stories were short but touching. Interesting seeing parts of history you don't hear about often.
I was so delighted to read all these enjoyable God and prayer filled stories. See how these Mail Order Brides fair and also the men who want them. I also liked that several of these books centered around towns and you get to see characters from the previous book reappear.
I love placing myself in the life of these characters. I went through this series as if I was visiting each person. It was enjoyable.
At times I wanted more but at other times I was satisfied, able to end the story in short order then turn to the next one when I had the time. Very entertaining. Thanks. I'll probably return and read the reruns in a year or too. It's nice to watch others lives have a happy resolution without too much drama.
Being able to have 30 books at my disposal gave me so much joy but there were a few missed words some letters missing from sentences over all I did enjoy reading those books I would give them 5 stars
I loved all thirty in this boxed set. Each one took me to another time and another adventure. Thank you Emily and Vivian.
Rarely do I ever stop reading a book or collection in the middle. There is always that little tug to find out what will happen next, but with this one I made an exception. I found these books trite, poorly written and flat. The characters were not well developed and the situations they were in not at all plausible. Typographical errors, while not excessive, still were abundant. It seemed as if the authors took poor writing and whitewashed it with Christian platitudes so it would sell to those looking for clean fiction. I do not recommend this collection.
