After five years of sobriety and finally getting his life back on track, Max is laid off from his boring yet reliable corporate office job. Given a substantial severance package, Max now has a recipe for disaster – a pocket full of cash and too much time on his hands. After witnessing the suicide of a young man on a bridge and being contacted by his estranged parents, his life quickly spirals out of control.
Coping with the reality of his situation the only way he knows how, Max again begins down a road paved with drugs, alcohol and debauchery. Max is on a warpath, determined to find out just how low rock-bottom really is. In the midst of drunken, drug-fueled misadventures, he begins planning his suicide. What he finds is that, as usual, life doesn’t care about his plans.
Sober is the story of Max, a recovering alcoholic who relapses after his life is turned upside down. Instead of trying to pick up the pieces, he embraces his own decline, nay, steers into it. Max takes control of his life in his own unique way, by exercising his freedom to fuck it all up.

A little over the top but still a good book.
Each chapter leaves you wanting more; I couldn't put it down!

Enjoyed reading this book and the main character's shenanigans. Easy, quick read and continued to be entertaining throughout. Looking forward to more from this author!
Great read, couldn't put it down..Max is a great character
What a ride through eyes of a man who is controlled by his vices. Fantastically fun to read and hard to put down! Made me want to go grab a bottle and live the rock star life.
